Updates!
Hi ! this is to update you about my work and changes to my website. In the next few days there will be a New page telling you all about ‘Pink Ribbons and Lipstick’ the suppport group I run for women who are affected by Breast Cancer. This is growing in strength and I want to thank all the people who have helped make this support group come to life! I am sure this will help many women now and in years to come. Look out for this new page!
My Book ‘A Walk On The Other Side’ is with a good Publishing house and is due to be published very soon. There was a delay with this due to my health problems. Again there will be a new page on this soon and already this Title is getting rave reviews from the media! I am really pleased with this and know that the world of Spirit have made all this possible for me after the difficult time I have had recently. My Grans old saying comes to mind when I think of this difficult time and that was “When people try to push you down God will push you forward”. This saying really is true as since my difficult time I have found so many new doors open to me and so many amazing things happen! so thanks to God and the Spirit World for that.
There will also be a New Website coming soon with a link to it from this website and that is all about my New Books for children called , ‘The Alien Animal Series’ there is more information about these on my ‘Book’ section of this website. Please take a look as it is all very exciting.
Also a update on my Health. I am doing really well! I have one more Chemotherapy session to go and then I just have the Operation to get through. I am also receiving the new Drug to beat cancer called ‘Herceptin’ and I will be taking part in a clinical trial to see how long Herceptin needs to be given to benefit the person. This trial will benefit other women in the future so I have signed up to take part. This trial will be split into 2 groups and I may be in the group that receives Herceptin for 6 months or the other group that receive it for 12 months. I will be monitored closely and above all I am very lucky to be getting this drug and taking part in a trial to help others. The medical are really pleased and shocked at my progress and I am also more than shocked that I have come this far and kept so strong. It has been hard and from it I had to learn many hard lessons about Human nature, but from this I have gained an inner strength that I never knew I had and that has in many ways changed me for the better. From Doors closing new and better ones have opened and I feel ready to Live once more!.
When I am more better and my Hair comes back! and I feel ready I am going to be doing a Calendar for Breast Cancer charity. This calendar will be a glamour photo shoot to show that after a Mastectomy and Breast reconstruction women can look sexy and good! A modelling Agency has took interest in this and want to work with me and some other women to do this daring photo shoot!! all in aid of giving women that confidence boost and also in aid of raising money for charity.
As you can see I am very busy and it may shock some of you with all I am doing to say how ill I have been, but this is the way I like to live. The more things that try to put me down! I fight back and do more to win! I am a strong minded person and because I have a strong faith that keeps me battling on. I always say that when life throws me lemons I will make Lemonade! .
